The short answer to Busan P.ARK vs Waveon Coffee: pick P.ARK in Yeongdo if you want bread, exhibitions and lots of space in one place, and Waveon Coffee in Gijang if you want to watch the sea for a long while and focus on coffee. The two sit on opposite sides of Busan, so it’s more realistic to choose one for your plans than to fit both into a single day.
This is not a review from someone who has been there. I haven’t visited either place. Instead, I used publicly available descriptions and news coverage to lay out what’s different and what to check before you go. Everything was checked on October 19, 2026.

Where Are They, and How Far Apart?
P.ARK: On the Coast of Yeongdo, South of Downtown
P.ARK stands on the coast in Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo-gu. Descriptions say it overlooks Oryukdo and Busan Port. One account says it was created when a ship-repair company changed its business.
Waveon: Near Imrang Beach on Busan’s Eastern Edge
Waveon is in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, and is described as being about 1 km from Imrang Beach. It’s a good way from central Busan, out on the east side.

Doing Both in One Day Is Hard
They lie in opposite directions, so you’d spend a big chunk of the day just getting between them. I couldn’t confirm the exact travel time, so measure it in your map app before you go. For map apps, see our [guide to the best map app for Korea](internal link: spoke 5). That’s why I suggest choosing just one for the day.
P.ARK: Less a Cafe, More a Building With Things to Do
Each Floor Has a Different Job
According to coverage around its 2021 opening, the first floor held a bakery factory that bakes bread and coffee, plus pop-up stores. The second floor had an event space and an outdoor sea-facing garden, and floors three and four held a cafe and bakery with sea views. Floors five and six were said to be planned for restaurants and pubs.
Descriptions vary a little on this layout. Check the current floor guide on the official account before you visit.

Bread and Exhibits Are the Draw
One report said the first-floor bakery factory bakes about 160 kinds of bread every day. It also described a format where pop-up stores and exhibitions change from season to season. At opening there were pop-ups from furniture and sneaker brands, and a car exhibit.
The exhibits keep changing. So checking what’s on the day you go is the most important step.
Easy on Families and Dogs
Descriptions mention a kids’ zone and an outdoor area where dogs are allowed. A report also said picnic mats could be rented in the Ocean Garden. I couldn’t confirm whether that service continues.
I Couldn’t Confirm Admission Fees
The sources I read didn’t list admission or per-exhibit fees. Ask by phone or through the official account before you go.

Waveon Coffee: Sea Views and a Focus on Coffee
Said to Be Designed So Every Seat Sees the Sea
According to a travel page, Waveon has a three-story structure designed so the sea is visible from any seat. It looks down on a sandy beach and rocky shore, and wooden benches are set outdoors on the seaside.
There’s also mention of resting beneath a 9.1 m pine tree. Some of this wording is promotional, so look at photos and reviews alongside it.
Coffee and Desserts Take Center Stage
Waveon promotes drip coffee made from its own roasted beans. Descriptions name signature drinks such as the Full Moon coffee and the Wollae latte, along with cakes and other desserts. Its official online shop sells beans and brewing gear, which suggests how seriously it takes coffee.
I couldn’t confirm in-store menu prices, though. It’s more accurate to call and ask before you visit. The phone number on the official shop is 051-727-1660.

Hours Differ by Source
One travel page lists 10:00 to 24:00, while another lists 11:00 to 24:00 with last order at 23:00. I couldn’t confirm which is right. Both say it stays open late, so if you plan a night visit, confirm the last order time.
Getting There Is the Biggest Variable
One travel site says it takes about 35 minutes by taxi from Haeundae, or about 1 hour 30 minutes by bus from Haeundae Market. These figures come from a third-party guide and shift with traffic.
By public transit it takes a long time. If you take a taxi, set up app payments in advance as in our [Seoul taxi app guide](internal link: spoke 2).
Which One for Which Situation
On a rainy day: P.ARK has more choices, with several floors and indoor exhibits. Waveon’s draw is the sea view, so weather affects it more.
With kids or a dog: P.ARK looks better, with a described kids’ zone and a dog-friendly outdoor area. Check the pet rules before you go.
To sit by the sea for a long time: Waveon fits. Its seaside benches and views from every seat are its selling points.
If you must go late: Waveon stays open until midnight and P.ARK until 22:00, so Waveon gives you more room.
If your day in Busan is short: P.ARK is closer to downtown and easier to slot into a schedule. Yeongdo is compact, which makes it easy to pair with other sights.

Plan a Half Day Like This
The Day You Choose P.ARK
P.ARK offers bread, exhibits and outdoor space in one place, so a natural flow is arriving in the morning, picking out bread at the bakery factory, seeing the exhibit, then resting in the cafe. Yeongdo is close to downtown, so it’s easy to move on to another sight in the afternoon.
The outdoor garden is best in good weather. If it rains, plan around the indoor exhibits and the cafe.
The Day You Choose Waveon
Gijang takes a while to get to and back from. So it’s more efficient to build your day around Gijang. One travel site says Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is about 25 minutes from Waveon by taxi and Gijang Crab Village about 15 minutes. These figures are also from a third party and can change with traffic.
Arriving near sunset, watching the sea and staying into the evening also looks possible since Waveon is open until midnight. Just confirm the last order time.
Weekend Crowds and Payment
Weekdays Are Easier
A travel page advises that Waveon gets very busy on weekends. P.ARK is also used as a large event venue, so event days can be crowded. If you can, aim for a weekday daytime visit.
I Couldn’t Confirm Foreign Card Acceptance
I couldn’t find whether either place accepts foreign cards. Most Korean shops take Visa and Mastercard, but declines happen. As in our [guide to paying in Korea](internal link: spoke 4), bring two cards and a little cash.
5 Common Mistakes
- Packing both into one day: they’re in opposite directions, and travel eats the day.
- Trusting old write-ups: P.ARK’s exhibits and facilities change often. Check recent information.
- Not checking hours: the sources disagree slightly for both places.
- Underestimating travel time: especially for Waveon, which takes long by public transit.
- Going on a weekend afternoon: it gets hard to find a seat or take photos.
Checklist: After Busan P.ARK vs Waveon Coffee, Decide and Prepare
- Decide whether your day is on the Yeongdo side or the Gijang side
- P.ARK: check today’s exhibit and hours on the official Instagram (@p.ark_official)
- Waveon: call (051-727-1660) to confirm hours, last order and menu prices
- Measure travel time in your map app
- Bring two foreign cards and a little cash
- See if a weekday daytime visit works
To sum up Busan P.ARK vs Waveon Coffee in one line, P.ARK is for things to do, and Waveon is for the sea and coffee. Some details can’t be known from descriptions alone, so one phone call or one quick check before you go is worth it.
Decide your schedule, the weather and who’s coming first. The better choice usually becomes obvious right away. If you’ve been, tell me what you found, and I’ll keep updating this guide.
