The People Behind Trend Culture
Trend Culture’s content is made by people who actually live in Korea and watch it change every day. We believe only someone on the ground can deliver information worth trusting.
Founder
A content specialist with a background in web design since 2000 and 16 years of experience running a business blog. After seeing how much travel content online was recycled and unverified, he founded Trend Culture to build a site that only publishes information confirmed first-hand. He currently leads the nanum Co., ltd. and oversees Trend Culture’s editorial direction and verification standards.
Our Content Verification Process
Every article on Trend Culture passes through a defined verification standard — not just one person’s opinion.
- On-the-Ground Checks — Locations, prices, and hours are confirmed through actual visits or official channels.
- Source Verification — We cite only credible sources, including Visit Korea, Statistics Korea (KOSIS), and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).
- Ongoing Updates — Published content is periodically reviewed, with changes corrected as soon as they’re identified.
The Trend Culture Contributor Network
Trend Culture is building a network of contributors — writers based in different regions of Korea, or with specialized expertise in areas like K-pop, K-drama, local food, or regional festivals — to expand the depth and range of our coverage.
Every contributor is held to the same standard as our founder:
- First-hand experience or local residency in the topics they cover
- Accurate reporting based on official, verifiable sources
- Transparent writing that clearly separates fact from opinion

Growing Without Losing Our Standards
Trend Culture started as one person’s blog. We’re growing into a content brand shaped by multiple on-the-ground contributors — but our standard never changes: only what’s been verified, told honestly.
