Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion · 영금정

Located on a wide rocky shore beneath the Sokcho Lighthouse, Yeonggeumjeong gets its name from the mystical sound of waves crashing against the rocks, said to resemble the melody of a traditional Korean zither. Close to downtown Sokcho and blessed with stunning scenery, it's a beloved spot for locals to fish and cool off throughout the year. Near the southern breakwater stands a sea pavilion accessible via a footbridge, offering a unique vantage point to take in the open waters of the East Sea.

속초등대 아래 넓은 바위지대에 자리한 영금정은 파도가 바위에 부딪치는 소리가 거문고 가락처럼 신비롭게 들린다 하여 붙여진 이름입니다. 시내에서 가깝고 경치가 아름다워 사계절 내내 낚시와 피서를 즐기려는 시민들의 발길이 이어집니다. 남쪽 방파제 인근에는 다리를 건너 들어갈 수 있는 해상 정자가 세워져 있어, 탁 트인 동해 바다를 색다른 시각으로 감상할 수 있습니다.
