Gwanghwamun Square · 광화문광장

Overview

Located in the historic heart of Seoul with 600 years of history, Gwanghwamun Square has been transformed from a car-centric road into a pedestrian-friendly space. Stroll through this open plaza offering stunning views of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bugaksan Mountain, while exploring recreated elements of the old Yukjo Street, once the administrative center of the Joseon Dynasty. Restored features like the Woldae platform and Haetae statues bring Seoul's past vividly to life alongside its modern cityscape.

600년 역사를 품은 서울의 중심가에 자리한 광화문광장은 차량 중심의 도로에서 사람을 위한 공간으로 새롭게 태어났습니다. 경복궁과 북악산의 아름다운 풍경을 감상하며 조선시대 육조거리의 흔적을 재현한 역사 공간을 거닐어 보세요. 월대와 해태상 복원, 축소 모형 전시 등을 통해 과거와 현재가 공존하는 서울의 매력을 느낄 수 있습니다.
