Built in 1900, Ganghwa Anglican Church is a remarkable fusion of traditional Korean hanok architecture and Western basilica-style design. While its exterior resembles a classic Korean tile-roofed building, the interior follows the structure of a Western church, reflecting how early Christianity adapted to local culture in Korea. Tucked away in a quiet alley in Ganghwa-eup, it offers visitors a peaceful glimpse into this unique architectural heritage.

1900년에 세워진 대한성공회 강화성당은 한옥 양식과 서양식 성당 구조가 절묘하게 어우러진 독특한 건축물입니다. 외관은 전통 한옥의 모습을 따르면서도 내부는 바실리카 양식의 성당 구조를 갖춰, 한국 초기 기독교 건축의 토착화 과정을 잘 보여줍니다. 고즈넉한 강화읍 골목길에 자리해 역사와 건축미를 동시에 느낄 수 있는 곳입니다.
