Once a bustling wholesale market for fish and vegetables in downtown Gwangju, Daein Market has transformed into a vibrant cultural space where art and commerce coexist. Since artists began filling empty stalls with creative works during the 2008 Gwangju Biennale, the market has reinvented itself, drawing crowds every Saturday evening to its lively night art market.
