Chodang Sundubu Village in Gangneung is famous for its silky, savory soft tofu coagulated with fresh East Sea water, served in unique dishes like tofu hot pot and spicy tofu jjamppong. The village takes its name from Chodang, the pen name of Heo Yeop, father of renowned Joseon-era writers Heo Gyun and Heo Nanseolheon, and features their birthplace site along with charming murals depicting the traditional tofu-making process.
강릉 초당순두부마을은 동해 바닷물로 응고시킨 부드럽고 고소한 순두부로 유명한 미식 명소로, 두부전골과 짬뽕순두부 등 다양한 두부 요리를 맛볼 수 있다. 마을 이름은 조선시대 문인 허균과 허난설헌의 부친 허엽의 호 '초당'에서 유래했으며, 생가터와 두부 제조 과정을 담은 벽화도 함께 둘러볼 수 있다.
