Suwon Yeongdong Market · 수원 영동시장

Dating back over 200 years to a cattle market from the era of King Jeongjo, Yeongdong Market is Suwon's largest traditional marketplace, located near the bustling Paldalmun Gate. It blends modern shopping arcades with old-style market stalls, and is especially famous for its many hanbok and textile shops among roughly 300 vendors. Visitors can browse everything from clothing and household goods to fresh produce in this lively, ever-bustling market.

정조대왕 시대 우시장에서 출발해 200년 넘는 역사를 이어온 수원 최대의 전통시장입니다. 팔달문 일대 번화가에 자리해 현대식 상가와 재래시장이 어우러져 있으며, 특히 한복과 포목을 전문으로 하는 점포가 많아 한복 시장으로도 유명합니다. 300여 개 상점에서 의류, 잡화, 농축산물까지 다양한 물건을 구경하고 살 수 있어 언제나 활기가 넘칩니다.
