Junggmyeongjeon Hall · 중명전

Tucked along Jeongdong-gil near Deoksugung Palace, Junggmyeongjeon is a Western-style building etched with the sorrowful history of the Korean Empire, where the controversial 1905 treaty was forcibly signed. Today it serves as an exhibition hall, offering visitors a poignant look into the empire's final years through historical documents and photographs.

덕수궁 인근 정동길에 자리한 중명전은 대한제국 시기 을사늑약이 체결된 비운의 현장으로, 근대 역사의 아픔이 서린 서양식 건축물입니다. 현재는 전시관으로 활용되어 당시의 역사적 자료와 사진을 통해 대한제국의 마지막 순간들을 생생히 만나볼 수 있습니다.
