Daecheongbong Peak, Seoraksan · 설악산 대청봉

Standing at 1,708 meters, Daecheongbong is the highest peak of Seoraksan and the third tallest mountain in South Korea, after Hallasan and Jirisan. It serves as the watershed between the inner and outer Seorak regions and is the source of numerous valley streams, surrounded by rare alpine vegetation. Hikers can reach the summit via four main trails, with the shortest route from Osaek taking about four hours.

해발 1,708m의 대청봉은 설악산의 정상이자 한라산, 지리산에 이어 한국에서 세 번째로 높은 봉우리입니다. 내설악과 외설악을 가르는 분수령이자 여러 계곡의 발원지로, 아고산대 식생과 웅장한 경관이 어우러진 곳입니다. 오색, 백담, 설악동, 한계령 등 다양한 코스로 오를 수 있으며 최단 코스는 왕복 약 4시간이 소요됩니다.
