Incheon Chinatown · 인천 차이나타운

Established after the port of Incheon opened in 1883, Incheon Chinatown has preserved over a century of Chinese heritage brought by early immigrant settlers. Wandering its red-hued alleys feels like stepping into China itself, and the neighborhood is famous as the birthplace of jjajangmyeon, alongside other treats like white jjajang, gonggalppang, and hwadeok mandu.

1883년 인천항 개항과 함께 형성된 인천 차이나타운은 120년이 넘는 세월 동안 화교들의 삶과 문화가 녹아든 특별한 공간입니다. 붉은 건물과 중국풍 골목을 거닐다 보면 잠시 한국을 떠나 중국을 여행하는 듯한 착각이 들며, 이곳에서 탄생한 짜장면을 비롯해 하얀 짜장, 공갈빵, 화덕만두 등 이색 먹거리도 놓칠 수 없습니다.
