Gyochon Village, Gyeongju · 경주 교촌마을

Gyochon Village was once home to Gukhak, Silla's first national academy, and today charms visitors with its blend of traditional hanok houses, the historic Choi family estate, and a centuries-old Confucian school. Nearby landmarks like Gyerim Forest, Woljeonggyo Bridge, and Cheomseongdae connect the village to legendary tales from the Samguk Yusa. After dark, the beautifully illuminated Woljeonggyo Bridge transforms the area into one of Gyeongju's most enchanting night views.

신라 최초의 국립교육기관 '국학'이 있던 유서 깊은 마을로, 최부자 고택과 향교, 전통 한옥이 어우러져 신라와 조선의 역사가 함께 숨쉬는 공간입니다. 계림, 월정교, 첨성대 등 삼국유사 속 이야기가 담긴 신라 유적들이 인근에 자리해 있어 산책하며 역사를 느끼기 좋습니다. 특히 복원된 월정교의 웅장한 목조 건축과 밤을 밝히는 화려한 조명은 경주를 대표하는 야경 명소로 손꼽힙니다.
