Samnangseong Fortress in Ganghwa · 강화 삼랑성

Overview

Perched on Mt. Jeongjoksan in Ganghwa Island, Samnangseong Fortress is an ancient stone wall said to have been built by the three sons of Dangun, Korea's legendary founder. Having witnessed key battles throughout Korean history, its wooded ramparts now offer visitors a peaceful walk steeped in history.

강화도 정족산에 자리한 삼랑성은 단군의 세 아들이 쌓았다는 전설이 전해지는 고대 산성으로, 병자호란과 병인양요의 격전지이기도 합니다. 성곽을 따라 걸으며 울창한 숲과 함께 역사의 흔적을 느낄 수 있는 곳입니다.
