Gapgot Fort · 갑곶돈대

Perched along the coastline of Ganghwa Island, Gapgot Fort was once a military outpost built during the Joseon Dynasty to guard against foreign invasions and monitor ships passing through the Ganghwa Strait. Today, it offers a peaceful walking spot surrounded by pine trees, blending history with scenic coastal views.

강화도 해안가에 자리한 갑곶돈대는 조선시대 외적의 침입을 막기 위해 세워진 방어 시설로, 강화해협을 오가는 배들을 감시하던 역사적 장소입니다. 지금은 소나무 숲과 어우러진 조용한 산책 코스로, 강화도의 역사와 자연을 함께 느낄 수 있습니다.
