Jinju Namgang Lantern Festival · 진주남강유등축제

Set against the backdrop of Jinjuseong Fortress and the Namgang River, this iconic autumn festival transforms the riverside into a dazzling display of colorful lanterns. Rooted in a wartime tradition where soldiers once used lanterns to send signals across the river, the event now celebrates light, wishes, and remembrance. Strolling along the illuminated riverbanks offers visitors a magical view of Jinju after dark.

진주성과 남강을 배경으로 형형색색의 유등이 강물을 수놓는 대표적인 가을 축제입니다. 임진왜란 당시 병사들이 강을 사이에 두고 신호를 주고받던 풍습에서 유래한 등불이 지금은 소원을 담은 아름다운 빛의 향연으로 이어지고 있습니다. 강변을 가득 채운 등불 사이를 거닐며 낮과는 또 다른 진주의 야경을 감상해 보세요.
