Sungnyemun Gate · 숭례문

Designated as South Korea's National Treasure No. 1, Sungnyemun was the main southern gate of Seoul's ancient fortress wall during the Joseon Dynasty and stands as the oldest wooden structure in the city. Located right in the heart of downtown Seoul, it offers visitors a striking glimpse into the nation's royal past amid a bustling modern backdrop.

대한민국 국보 제1호로 지정된 숭례문은 조선시대 한양도성의 정문으로, 서울에 남아있는 목조 건축물 중 가장 오래된 문화유산입니다. 서울 도심 한복판에서 옛 왕조의 위엄과 역사를 동시에 느낄 수 있는 상징적인 장소입니다.
