Singi Market in Incheon's Michuhol District is a lively traditional market known for its charming alleyways filled with local snacks, street food, and shopping finds. A unique feature is the market's own currency, coin-like tokens called 'Singi Tongbo,' each worth 500 won and usable only within the market, offering visitors a fun and novel experience. What began in the 1970s as a small vegetable market run by local women near Munhaksan Mountain has since grown into the bustling cultural marketplace it is today.

인천 미추홀구에 자리한 신기시장은 골목 곳곳에 다양한 먹거리와 볼거리가 가득한 문화 관광형 전통시장이다. 이곳에서만 통용되는 엽전 모양의 '신기 통보'는 개당 오백 원의 가치를 지닌 독특한 화폐로, 시장을 찾는 외국인들에게도 특별한 재미를 선사한다. 1970년대 문학산 아래서 시작된 작은 텃밭 장터가 오늘날 활기 넘치는 골목 시장으로 발전한 유래도 흥미롭다.
