Seoul Plaza · 서울광장

Spread out in front of Seoul City Hall, this open grassy plaza has witnessed pivotal moments in Korea's modern history, from the March 1st Movement to the June Democratic Uprising. Throughout spring, summer, and fall it hosts community gatherings and events, while winter transforms it into a popular outdoor ice rink. It pairs perfectly with a visit to the neighboring Seoul Metropolitan Library and Deoksugung Palace just across the street.

서울시청 앞에 펼쳐진 넓은 잔디 광장으로, 3·1 운동과 6월 민주화운동 등 한국 현대사의 굵직한 순간들을 함께한 상징적인 장소입니다. 봄부터 가을까지는 시민들의 휴식과 다양한 행사가 열리고, 겨울에는 스케이트장으로 변신해 사계절 내내 활기를 띱니다. 바로 옆 서울도서관과 건너편 덕수궁까지 함께 둘러보기 좋습니다.
