Overview
This historic site preserves the remains of Heungyang Fortress, once built to defend against Japanese pirate raids during the Joseon Dynasty, alongside the elegantly arched Okha-ri stone bridge. Strolling along the old fortress path offers visitors a glimpse into traditional Goheung and the ingenuity of Korea's ancient stonework.

조선시대 왜구 방어를 위해 쌓았던 흥양읍성의 흔적과 함께, 무지개 모양으로 아름답게 다듬어진 옥하리 홍교가 남아 있는 역사 유적지입니다. 옛 성곽길을 걸으며 고흥읍의 전통적인 분위기와 조상들의 축성 기술을 동시에 느껴볼 수 있습니다.
